    Graduate Showcase Competition



    The Graduate School is pleased to announce Winthrop University’s 5th annual Graduate Showcase Competition as part of the 2024 Graduate Student Appreciation Week, April 1st-5th!

    Group Poster Session: a contest that challenges graduate students to summarize their group research within the confines of a 30”x40” poster for a general audience.

    3-Minute Graduate Showcase: a contest that challenges graduate students to summarize their research within three minutes to a general audience.

    The final competitions will take place on Wednesday, April 3rd, from 5-7pm in DiGS.

    Prizes:
    The members of the winning group poster will each receive a cash prize of $100. Cash prizes will be awarded for the 3MGS winners in first-place ($300), second-place ($150), and to a “People’s Choice” winner chosen by audience members ($150).

     

    Eligibility:

    • Only current graduate students in good academic standing are eligible to compete.
    • Your degree program does not have to require a thesis or dissertation for you to compete. 


    To submit your entry into this competition, please submit a brief 200-word abstract in the field below.  In your abstract, please explain (a) your research/project/subject matter and (b) why your presentation would be important to the general public. 


    The deadline for abstracts is March 18th.
